Recently I should have gone to New York with my sister for a week end but due to my plane having some technical difficulties (the cooling reactor’s system wasn’t working), we had to go back. Suffice to say that the trip wasn’t worth it anymore, spending 2 days being dead tired instead of 3 great ones, we decided to cancell the trip altogether.

Now you’ll ask how the autograph is related to this cancelled trip. Well, turned out my favorite actor (Jason Behr, duh!) was filming his new movie at the time I was supposed to be in NYC! I was ecstatic when I learnt that and totally angry and depressed when we decided not to go anymore.
Luckily, a friend of mine who lives in NYC tracked him down and found the filming location! She went, saw and talked to him for a bit and got me his autograph!!!

Here are 2 pictures. One of the autograph and the other of him when he was signing it! It’s been a week since it happened but I’m still on cloud 9, especially since I received the autograph by mail yesterday!!!

I got tired of having people take the vids off my site and upload them to their YouTube accounts, so I made my own account there. And today I got this lovely message in my inbox about my SeaQuest/SGA vid (just your average music vid, not like I uploaded an actual episode or anything):

WTF? I only put my vids there because other people were. They’ve been there all of five days. And there’s like a billion SGA vids there. Are they going after everybody, or is this just another case where it sucks to be me? What’s next, closing down all our sites? Or are they just gonna start to sue people for making vids and writing fic now (like they already are for people downloading torrents)? Do they not realize that we’re upping their DVD sales?

On a YouTube search, the word “stargate” brings up 4,070 results. Here are some other counts…

“stargate atlantis” = 691
SG1 = 1,700
SGA = 576

On a Google search, the word “stargate” brings up 14,300,000 results.

So it’s not just me. MGM are on a rampage of yanking vids and deleting accounts.

What I don’t understand is why go after fic and vids? Full episodes, sure, that I can understand because they feel we’re downloading rather than buying the DVD’s (despite that we can tape the shows when they air on TV). But fic and vids are like massive amounts of free advertising. They encourage people to watch shows and buy the DVD’s and such. How can they possibly view fic/vids as being in any way hurtful to profits? They put ads on websites, run commercials. We post fic and vids. How is that different? Vids aren’t full eps, not even close. They’re just little tastes to draw you in, they’re advertisements as much as any TV commercial. Heck, they sell Stargate t-shirts, and when people wear them, that’s more free publicity. What are they gonna do, start grabbing people off the street and taking the shirts off their backs for copyright infringement?! I mean, why not? They’ll yank down fan websites for having Stargate images (yet scatter their own banner ads rampant across those same sites). I bet you could post their actual ads and they’d still have issues about it. It’s just stupid.

Who are the top people involved in this? Where can we write letters to? How can we spread the word that we’re being sued and having sites/accounts deleted, and our crime is that of providing free advertising and raising ratings and sales? What happens to TPTB when those 14,300,000 hits on Google all go away? What happens when we fans all go away? What are their precious copyrights gonna do for them then? Without us, they’re nothing, they have nothing.

Jane and I were talking yesterday about our “wish list", meaning what we wish we had, what we wish we’d see and all. Jane posted one part of her VERY long list (I know that for a fact) and here is mine. It will most likely be updated with time.

* getting my hand on the pilot of “The Way", a show that was not picked up last year by the networks but with JB on it, so it’s worth watching.

* meeting Jason Behr in real life…but I know it’s not gonna happen any time soon *pout*

*getting back to watching the SG (that’s a tough one considering the 10th season), SGA and PB

those were the serious “wish", now on with the crazy ones that can be just one parters

* just for fun I’d like to see a SPN-Dawson’s Creek or Smallville cross over, the Winshester meeting Dean’s other lives.
Come on, imagine Sam and Dean’s faces at seeing Jason Teague or the other guy’s name, it would be much more fun than seeingAlec on DA (which has already been done on many cross overs)

I know it is possible in a way because Mac’s wife was a doctor

* last but not least, either in the show or in a fic, a role reversal between Sam and Dean. Jensen Ackles was originally cast for the role of Sam and it would be really funny (or let’s say interesting) to see him as Sam!

This plot bunny is set after the end of SPN season one; this post is only dated as more recent due to my updating it with the YouTube link.

Okay, so I know nothing about GA except that Katherine Heigl plays a character named Izzie Stevens. And I was all, “oh, that’s what Isabel did after leaving Roswell, she changed her last name from Evans to Stevens and became a doctor.” And then I saw a commercial with her and Jeffrey Dean Morgan in it, so clearly that’s where the three Winchesters ended up after the crash, and “Denny Duquette” is just another victim of good old Winchester identity theft. And probably absolutely none of that works at all with GA canon, but well… *shrugs*

Anyway, this bunny has tormented me long enough, and I’m offering it up for adoption (either somebody takes it or I salt and burn the fluffy little pest).

I made a stupid little vid to kinda work things out in my head, and you can download that if interested. It’s really just my goofing around and not an actual vid, though. Oh, the sounds on the healing scenes are light sabers because that’s what I happened to have on hand, so umm, ignore that. And the best parts nobody will even notice (such as the doctor’s eyes flashing yellow, the handprint on John’s chest in Sam’s vision, the scene with Isabel, Max, and Valenti that’s also flashed in Sam’s vision is actually from a conversation that would have been in the fic, and although there’s no sound, Michael answers the phone “DeLuca residence").

This is my 1st (actually 2nd) attempt at using Photoshop. I am slowly starting to get the hang of it (meaning it didn’t take me 3 hours to do it like for the previous one *head wall*). It’s not amazing but considering how much I know about PS, I’m quite happy with the result.
There are 2 copies of the same manip because I was not sure if Chris was supposed to be darker like the background and Dean or his “usual” tan. *shrugs*
